After several years of drought, the 2017 growing season was strong with a cool, slow harvest which allowed red grapes to ripen gradually developing an aromatic, expressive wine with balanced, refreshing acidity.
Smoothly structured and deep ruby in color, this full-bodied, well-rounded wine combines notes of red plum and black cherry with dried herbs and sweet spices including cardamom. Flavors of toasted oak integrate and lead to a smooth, complete finish.
This limited production of only 75 cases spent 20 months on 35% new French oak. The aging pontential is 7-10 years.
Jamieson Ranch Vineyards is named after an historic rancher who helped to settle the Napa Valley. Today, we pay homage to the rich ranching tradition of the Napa Valley through the names of our wines. The name Versada means to traverse or travel, and we honor the ranchers, cowboys and horses that traveled to the American West and played an important role in making the Napa Valley what it is today. Like those horses, our Versada wines are commanding and elegant.
Please note: Due to federal law, which requires a signature of someone 21 years or older to sign in person due to the contents of alcohol, we recommend a place of business for the delivery location. If a place of business is an option, please include the business name to ship in care of, as well as any suite building or floor numbers to ensure smooth deliveries.
