With 91 points from James Suckling, this wine has evolved and increased in elegance in the bottle in the past nearly three years since its release. The 2015 growing season produced red grapes with a balanced elegance and intensity. The 10% Cabernet Franc imparts a lean quality and peppery notes to this full-bodied, fruit-driven wine. Warm flavors of plum, black cherry and fig mingle with satisfying notes of mocha and toasted coconut. The approachable tannins lead to a finish that is smooth and lasting.
James Suckling 91 Points, "Aromas of bark and dried fruit with some fig undertones. Full-bodied, chewy and rich tannins and a flavorful finish. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc." - May 2018
Jamieson Ranch Vineyards is named after an historic rancher who helped to settle the Napa Valley. Today, we pay homage to the rich ranching tradition of the Napa Valley through the names of our wines. The name Versada means to traverse or travel, and we honor the ranchers, cowboys and horses that traveled to the American West and played an important role in making the Napa Valley what it is today. Like those horses, our Versada wines are commanding and elegant.
