This 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon benefitted from a slow harvest and long growing season. Home to historic vineyards, the Rutherford AVA is famous for its deep alluvial fans that produce rich and compelling Cabernet Sauvignon. Grown in well-drained, gravelly soils, this wine displays characteristics of ripe and juicy blackberry, cassis, violet, cocoa powder and sweet spice with fine-grained tannins that leave an impression of richness and elegance. Expressive, complex and boldly structured with a long, full finish, this wine will continue to age gracefully.
This limited production of 90 cases spent 17 months on 50% new French oak. The aging potential is 10-15 years.
Jamieson Ranch Vineyards is named after an historic rancher who helped to settle the Napa Valley. Today, we pay homage to the rich ranching tradition of the Napa Valley through our wines. Our JRV Collector's Series includes grapes grown in some of the most well-respected nested AVAs in the Napa Valley.
