Ripe dark blackberry, raspberry with hints of fresh picked strawberry drive this fruit forward and delicately oaked wine. French oak is highlighted with nuances of vanilla, sweet cocoa and pie crust. A silky texture is created by an abundance of soft tannin, rounding out the mid pallet, followed by a sweetness that lingers on the back pallet.
The fruit for this blend was sourced from multiple vineyards throughout the Sonoma Coast AVA. Most of the vineyards within this program are sourced from vineyards with soils from the Clay/Loam series, mainly found in Sonoma Carneros. Pinot Noir from this region tends to have very expressive fruit character and nice soft supple tannin.
